Kosi Bay Nature Reserve is a part of iSimangaliso Wetland Park, an established World Heritage Site. 11.000 hectares of shimmering lakes, meandering waterways, tropical forest and remote beaches.

ACTIVITIES:
Guided Canoeing. On Sihadia Canal, adorned with huge Raffia palms and birds that will take your breath away. Children must be over 12 years of age.
Boat trips. A full day excursion that includes a walk around Kosi Bay fish traps, picnic lunch and a swim in the sea near Bhanga Nek.
Kosi Mouth. A full day excursion to the area where the ocean and lakes come together, a beautiful experience of colour, sand and water. Fantastic snorkelling in warm and crystal clear water. Lunch on the beach. Extra charge.
Raffia Palm Forest Walk. Early morning or late afternoon walks through Raffia Palm forest, a birding paradise. Possibility of seeing the rare palm-nut vulture. The Raffia palm is the largest palm in the world.
Tembe Elephant Park. One hours drive from Kosi Forest Lodge you can enjoy a game drive through this 30.000 hectares area. As the name suggests plenty of elephants. Extra charge.
Turtle tracking. From the 15th November to the 15th January it is possible to join the guides for an evening of turtle tracking. The huge leatherbacks and loggerheads come out of the ocean to lay their eggs on the beaches. Extra charge.
