SAFARI IN SOUTH AFRICA - A COUNTRY OF OPTIONS...

Mountains - savannah - rivers
As the large plane gently banks left, you suddenly catch a glimpse of the rising sun and within minutes the sky is redder than red. Moments later the captain slowly starts his approach to Johannesburg International Airport, frequently the gateway to numerous adventures, and on a clear day you will be able to see mountain ranges, savannah and the red earth that is tantamount to Africa.

Africa - never to be forgotten
South Africa welcomes you with her soft embracing warmth, her obliging citizens and her colourfulness. This country wants to be heard, seen and smelled and is guaranteed to leave imprints on your mind and give rise to a small amount of sadness when it is time to return to home.

A large and versatile country
The beautiful country is located south of the Limpopo River – on the tip of the African Continent. To the west is the Atlantic Ocean, while the warm Indian Ocean lies off the east coast. This gives South Africa her spectacular range of bio-diversity – one of the largest in the world as it encompasses the independent mountain kingdoms of Lesotho and Swaziland, and is bordered by Namibia in the north-west, Botswana and Zimbabwe to the north, and Mozambique in the north-east.

Three times the size of Texas with an estimated population of some 48 million people. South Africa is divided into nine provinces: Eastern Cape, Free State, Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape, Limpopo, North West and Western Cape.

We hope you’ll join us in exploring this country…
