The area: Approximately 1 million hectare untouched bush and jungle by the river Chinko in the eastern part of the Central African Republic.

Species: Red forest buffalo and north-western savannah buffalo, a specie very like the Cape buffalo. Giant eland, bongo, giant forest hog, leopard, roan and a variety of other exciting species.

Season: January – May

Success rate: The hunts are conducted as walk and stalk, so a certain level of fitness is required, as is shooting skills. On a 14 day hunt 1:1 you may expect to take minimum 2 buffalo. You will be guaranteed minimum 1 buffalo bull on a 14 day safari 1:1, which in fact means that you will be given, free of charge, a new 14 day hunt if the chance of a shot to a mature bull is non-existent. International flight and charter is not included.

Accommodation: Main camp is located on a riverbed. It’s quite rustic, but comfortable. En-suite facilities. A handful of fly camps are available in this huge area.

Additional activities: Non-hunting activities are limited. Not recommended for children.

CAWA – HUNT TWO DIFFERENT SPECIES OF BUFFALO ON ONE SAFARI
Hunt buffalo in this untouched and unspoiled area. A paradise for trophy hunters and collectors.

Forest buffalo, smaller that it’s cousin, the Cape buffalo, and reddish, but nonetheless as demanding to hunt. The savannah buffalo is more like the Cape buffalo, but trophy size is generally smaller.
