The area: More than 100.000 hectare in Lake Natron, Rungwe and Selous

Species: Lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, hippo, crocodile, sable and a variety of East African gazelles and antelopes.

Season: 1. July - 31. December

Success rate: The hunts are conducted as walk and stalk, so a certain level of fitness is required, as is shooting skills. On a big game safari 1:1, chances will increase if you hunt 21 days and concentrate on hunting 1 specie at a time.
It is unrealistic to think that all four of the big five available in the area can be taken on one safari. Leopard and lion hunting success depend a great deal on the weather and the phase of the moon. The success on elephant increases as the season comes to an end and also expectations on the size of the trophy plays a major role. When hunting leopard, lion or elephant, you may expect to take one buffalo.
